AASCSC x CENSUS
It was great working alongside the Asian American Senior Citizens Service Center to celebrate Mother's Day by surprising these isolated seniors with handmade cards and fresh flowers at their doorsteps~ we put smiles on the faces of over 300+ senior moms living in the Santa Ana apartment complex!
We visited the Montecito Vista Housing complex and dropped off informational packages about the 2020 census at the doors of each resident. These packages consisted of informational flyers, a 2020 Census pin, hand sanitizer, chapstick, and a magnetic clip. We encourage everyone to fill out their 2020 Census TODAY, because it's important that everyone's voice is heard and accounted for in the development of legislation that will impact the entire community. As this year’s Asian Pacific American Heritage Month comes to a close, AASCSC was surprised with a wonderful treat! On May 28, 2020, Congressman Lou Correa recognized the Asian American Service Center for Senior Citizens (AASCSC) for their dedication to service & invaluable community contributions with a speech in the US House of Representatives. As a Young Ambassador, Melody was invited to join the celebration of this national recognition with the rest of the AASCSC team.
We had a great time working alongside the AASCSC, Hope Community Services, and Vietnamese Catholic Student Association to package and surprise over 200 seniors with Father’s Day care packages in the Santa Ana apartment complex!
